Hand-drawn broom with a blend of horsehair and coconut fiber, which creates a stiffer yet still flexible broom. The combination makes the broom suitable for picking up both fine dust and slightly coarser dirt in the home or workplace. The broom is made of certified beechwood with veterinarian-checked horsehair.
To prevent the bristles from being pressed flat, we recommend hanging the broom up when it is not in use. Handle not included and must be purchased separately. The broom fits our broom handles at 150 and 170 cm.
Since 1929, Blindes Arbejde has created quality craftsmanship, made by people with visual impairments. Traditional techniques are passed down from hand to hand – with respect for the craft and a sensory working method, where the sense of touch is central.
The craftsmanship spans brush binding, weaving, as well as basket and chair weaving. We work with natural materials – animal hair, straw, and wood for the brushes, paper cord, willow, and bamboo for weaving, and cotton, wool, and linen for weaving – selected with careful consideration for quality and durability.
Production takes place in several locations across the country, and all products are quality checked before they are prepared for sale.
