Nail brush in oiled beechwood with Tampico fiber
Nail brush in oiled beechwood with Tampico fiber
A hand-bound nail brush with Tampico, a natural plant fiber from Mexico. The fibers are stiffer than horsehair and naturally contain silica, which provides a gentle abrasive and polishing effect. This makes this variant the stiffest of our nail brushes.
The handle is made from PEFC-certified beechwood, treated with pure linseed oil, and the brush is hand-bound by employees at Blindes Arbejde.
Since 1929, Blindes Arbejde has created quality craftsmanship, made by people with visual impairments. Traditional techniques are passed down from hand to hand – with respect for the craft and a sensory working method, where the sense of touch is central.
The craftsmanship spans brush binding, weaving, as well as basket and chair weaving. We work with natural materials – animal hair, straw, and wood for the brushes, paper cord, willow, and bamboo for weaving, and cotton, wool, and linen for weaving – selected with careful consideration for quality and durability.
Production takes place in several locations across the country, and all products are quality checked before they are prepared for sale.
