Hand-bound classic dish brush with black horsehair in the middle and light horsehair along the edge. The 25 cm long handle is made of certified beechwood and treated with beeswax, which protects the wood and extends its lifespan. The horsehair is veterinarian-checked.
Hang the dish brush up to dry after use so that the hairs do not get pressed flat, and avoid washing it in the dishwasher. Flat or tangled horsehair can be gently straightened with a fork, while greasy brush hairs can be rinsed with boiling water or soaked in soapy water.
Since 1929, Blindes Arbejde has created quality craftsmanship, made by people with visual impairments. Traditional techniques are passed down from hand to hand – with respect for the craft and a sensory working method, where the sense of touch is central.
The craftsmanship spans brush binding, weaving, as well as basket and chair weaving. We work with natural materials – animal hair, straw, and wood for the brushes, paper cord, willow, and bamboo for weaving, and cotton, wool, and linen for weaving – selected with careful consideration for quality and durability.
Production takes place in several locations across the country, and all products are quality checked before they are prepared for sale.
