Hand-drawn dustpan brush developed in collaboration with the Chimney Sweeps' Association, focusing on a size and functionality suitable for clearing and sweeping around chimneys. The dustpan brush is drawn with black horsehair and measures 30.5 cm in length.
The dustpan brush is made of certified beechwood and treated with wax, which protects the wood. The horsehair is veterinarian-checked.
Since 1929, Blindes Arbejde has created quality craftsmanship, made by people with visual impairments. Traditional techniques are passed down from hand to hand – with respect for the craft and a sensory working method, where the sense of touch is central.
The craftsmanship spans brush binding, weaving, as well as basket and chair weaving. We work with natural materials – animal hair, straw, and wood for the brushes, paper cord, willow, and bamboo for weaving, and cotton, wool, and linen for weaving – selected with careful consideration for quality and durability.
Production takes place in several locations across the country, and all products are quality checked before they are prepared for sale.
